The History of Translation and Interpretation

The large geographic expanse of humans lead to the emergence of disconnected language groups; the need to communicate meant finding a common mode of speech, especially during historical trade where problems arose, calling for translations, without which it would not have been possible to understand others’systems and methods of business; trade would have been impossible, limiting progress and evolution. Soon, eyes wondered over others’ civilization cultural artefacts, such as poetry and other literary and religious works that needed to be translated into other languages. Thus, the importance of translation and interpretation was established.

Global Outreach (GO) aims to bridge knowledge across the divides and gaps; and strongly believes that languages should never be the barrier in the vast world of communications and connecting worlds of cultures, where each word is a world on its own sailing into the deep oceans of meanings and interpretations.

Global Outreach (GO) Team of Interpreters and Translators

GO has a powerful team of competent, professional and well experienced interpreters and translators who covered global summits, world conferences, regional and national events, on different levels and sectors, from policy making, legislations, courts of law, sciences, economy, banking and finance to governance and gender and other emerging topics and issues of the hour. They have worked with renowned world agencies such as the World Bank, UN agencies, and many donor agency across the MENA region, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas; and local governments on strategic levels down to the finest and most technical details. GO has a strong team of interpreters who interpret into and from the Arabic, English and French Languages; in addition to other languages (upon request), namely Spanish, Italian, Japanese or other. Our team covered the interpretation efforts during King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Fact-Finding Mission, in addition to working with the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Courts of Law and the Police Academy in Bahrain.

Testimonial: “The Interpreters where highly professional, accurate, had ample knowledge, flexibility and tolerance, as they interpreted to English and Spanish both consecutively during official delegation field visits and spontaneously at the Academy, which reflected positively on the flow of activities and breaking the language barrier”. General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and E-Security, Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Bahrain, January - 2015

Our team combines ethics, respect of others and the confidentiality of any deliberations, making sure that all your spent efforts on conferencing and training have been well channelled to the listener, the observer, the attendee and the trainee. Interpretation and translation are consciousness professions, as we ask God’s blessing in delivering and ‘translating’ well your messages.
